2010-2011 Big Buck Contest
Rules & Regulations:

Entrant must have a current 2010-2011 Missouri Hunting Permit. Deer must be a Missouri kill and must have been taken during the 2010 early archery or firearm season.
Registration fee will be $20 for each season. Archery season registration must be postmarked by 9/14/10. There will not be a second archery season registration. Firearm entries must be postmarked no later than November 12, 2010. The entry fee of $20 must include the Big Buck entry form. Please fill out
Entry Form No. 1 and include it with your entryfee. Payment can be made through Paypal. Feel free to call for confirmation of registration at 660-752-8010 and ask for Steve.
One entry per person for each season, however, a hunter may register in both categories: Archery and Firearm (muzzleloaders fall under the Firearm Season) for a total cost of $40. All deer kills must be on or before November 24, 2010.
After your kill send in Entry Form No. 2 with the following:
A copy of your official 2010-2011 Hunting Permit number.
A photograph of hunter measuring kill with name, address and permit number on back of photograph.
The photograph must show hunter with deer kill, taking widest measurement of inside spread of antler from left to right straight across. (Please use a tape measure or yard stick)
The photograph must clearly show measurement along with hunter and deer head. Additional information may be provided at hunter's discretion.
Please include a second photograph of the deer showing the 2010 Missouri deer permit attached to it.
Final entry forms with photographs must be postmarked by December 10, 2010.
Hunter must choose which category they wish to enter the buck in: Typical or Non-Typical. First and Second place prizes will be awarded in each category.
Finalists will be contacted to have antlers officially measured for accuracy by a panel of official Pope & Young and Boone & Crockett scorers. The official scoring will be conducted on Saturday, February 26, 2011, at the North Missouri Outdoor Classic in Chillicothe, Missouri. Official scorers have the authority to disqualify any entry not deemed eligible for the contest. Any and all scores that result in a tie will be determined by a coin toss.
Please note: The burden of proof will be the hunter's responsibility through the photographs. The North Missouri Sportsman's Alliance (NMSA) has the right to dispute any unclear photograph. Any antlers that have been previously scored will be disqualified. Any attempt to defraud the contest will result in disqualification from this contest and the individual or individuals disqualified will not be allowed to participate in any future Big Buck competitions sponsored by the NMSA.
All antlers must be naturally dried for 60 days before scoring (cannot be brought in frozen).
All decisions by official scorers are final.
Winners will be announced on February 26, 2011.
