| A
large exhibit hall will allow vendors and conservation organizations to
feature the latest in equipment and conservation information and some of
the top professionals in the outdoor world will be hosting seminars
throughout the expo.
A
"Bragging Wall" will feature the very largest whitetail racks
taken in this area over the years with a minimum B&C score of 170
required for this display. Official whitetail scorers will be available to
score not only KMZU contest racks, bt any
whitetail antlers brought in at no additional charge above the price of
admission.
The North
American Shed Hunting Club (NASHC), the national record keeping
organization for shed collectors, will bring their display of the biggest
shed antlers ever found. Plus, the NASHC will also be scoring local shed
antlers brought in and will award trophies for the top sheds submitted.
The
Missouri Department of Conservation will have an indoor archery range for
the younger attendees. MDC will also provide a variety of exhibits,
offering information pertaining to wildlife in north Missouri.
The Field
House of Chillicothe Middle School is larger than three basketball courts,
and additional exhibits will be offered in two other gymnasiums and an
800-seat theater. The location offers businesses and organizations an
excellent opportunity to promote and sell their outdoor wares and pass
along the latest in wildlife and conservation information. Show hours are
from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturday and from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on
Sunday. A concession stand will operate throughout the event.
A small admission fee will be charged at the door. A portion of the proceeds from the event will be used to fund the Chillicothe High School Hunting and Fishing Club, the CHS Trapshooting Team. The remaining funds raised will be used to offset the cost of processing venison for the Share The Harvest program in the counties of Linn, Livingston, Carroll and Daviess.
